Book B, Volume 11, pages 26–27 (Book 262, p. 26) [Page 26] For and in consideration of three thousand five hundred ($3500.00) dollars in cash, receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, I, Anderson Bryant, hereby sell, transfer and convey unto D. T. Clippinger the following described real estate lying and being situated on Lookout Mountain in the fourth civil district of Hamilton County Tennessee, to wit: Beginning at the south corner of a stone culvert across a branch on the line between Anderson Bryant and D. T. Clippinger, on the west side of the Boulevard, thence up the branch southwesterly on the line between Anderson Bryant on one side and Clippinger and McCallie on the other side to the east line of the right of way of the railroad, thence with the east line of said railroad northwardly to a rock culvert on the line between Anderson Bryant and Alex Hunt; thence down said line eastwardly in center of hollow to the west line of the county boulevard and thence along the said west line of the county boulevard to the place of beginning. To have and to hold the same unto the said D. T. Clippinger and heirs and assigns forever, in fee simple. I covenant that I am lawfully seized and possessed of said real estate; have a good right and lawful authority to sell and convey it, that the title thereto is clear free and unincumbered and that I will warrant and defend the same against the lawful claims of all persons whomsoever. And I, Carrie Bryant wife of the said Anderson Bryant hereby join in this deed and sell, transfer and convey unto said D. T.
